In a landmark move for higher education collaboration, leading Moroccan and Spanish academic bodies have formalized a strategic partnership in business management sciences.

Historic agreement signed in Santander

The accord was inked on Saturday in the Spanish coastal city of Santander between the Moroccan Management Association (AMG), headquartered in Rabat, and Spain’s Scientific Association for Economics and Business Management (ACEDE).

Purpose of the collaboration

According to both organizations, the memorandum of understanding creates a structured framework to enhance scientific exchanges, develop joint research projects, and facilitate academic participation in conferences and symposia. The initiative also aims to bridge gaps between researchers, faculty members, and PhD candidates from both nations, fostering deeper academic ties.

The AMG, which operates in close coordination with Mohammed V University in Rabat, is also a member of the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM). Together, AMG and ACEDE seek to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between Morocco and Spain in the field of management sciences.

Supporting young researchers

Beyond research and conferences, the partnership places a strong emphasis on empowering doctoral students and early-career academics. It seeks to enhance their professional development and integrate them into global academic networks, ensuring they gain international exposure and collaboration opportunities.

ACEDE: Spain’s leading management academy

Founded in 1990, the ACEDE is Spain’s premier scientific academy dedicated to economics and business administration. With a membership of over 700 university professors and researchers, its core mission is to promote rigorous research and elevate teaching standards in business management sciences.

This agreement marks a significant step toward revitalizing scientific collaboration between Morocco and Spain, opening new pathways for young researchers from both countries to engage with international academic communities.
