The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has begun unveiling the highly anticipated fixtures for the 2026-2027 Ligue 1 campaign, giving fans a first glimpse of the season ahead. With the curtain-raising matchdays now confirmed, clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Paris FC know exactly when they’ll face their toughest early-season challenges.

For the reigning Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain, the season will kick off on the home turf of the Parc des Princes. Their opening fixture, scheduled for the weekend of August 21-23, will see them host Stade Rennais, setting the tone for what promises to be a demanding start. The Parisians won’t have much time to recover, as their second outing takes them to Lille, followed by a high-stakes home clash against AS Monaco in matchday three.

psg’s biggest early test: a trip to marseille

Before the international break in mid-September, PSG will face their most immediate test when they travel to the Stade Vélodrome for the season’s first Classique against Olympique de Marseille on September 20. The return leg at the Parc des Princes is already set for February 7, 2027, ensuring the rivalry remains at the heart of the campaign’s narrative.

Paris fc’s opening challenge: a trip to troyes

Meanwhile, Paris FC, the second club from the capital, will begin their Ligue 1 journey with a trip to newly promoted Troyes on the season’s opening day. Their early fixtures are far from straightforward, with a home game against OGC Nice at the Stade Jean-Bouin, followed by a tough away trip to Marseille and two consecutive home matches against Olympique Lyonnais and Strasbourg—both set in high-altitude venues.

With the LFP’s schedule now largely confirmed, clubs and supporters alike are bracing for a season filled with high stakes, early rivalries, and the promise of intense competition right from the first whistle.
