On Thursday, July 9, Rabat became the venue for a significant working session between Hicham Balaoui, the King’s Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation and President of the Public Prosecution, and Ousmane Abderamane Djougourou, the Inspector General of Chad’s Independent Anti-Corruption Authority. This engagement was part of a broader visit aimed at immersing the Chadian delegation in Morocco’s established practices for both preventing and prosecuting corruption.

During the discussions, Mr. Balaoui meticulously outlined the core components of Morocco’s anti-corruption framework. He highlighted the robust legal and institutional structures that underpin these efforts, alongside the specific criminal policy enforced by the Public Prosecution Presidency. The dialogue further extended to an exploration of various comparative best practices in the global fight against corruption.

Moreover, the Chadian representatives gained insight into several innovative initiatives spearheaded by the Public Prosecution Presidency. These included a dedicated direct telephone hotline designed for reporting instances of corruption and embezzlement, as well as the advanced digital platform known as «e-TABLIGH». This cutting-edge tool empowers citizens to securely report alleged corrupt activities, leveraging state-of-the-art digital technologies to ensure the confidential processing of all submissions.
