Senne Lammens has been crowned the Premier League’s transfer of the season after an exceptional debut campaign with Manchester United. The 23-year-old Belgian goalkeeper outperformed several high-profile arrivals, including João Pedro (Chelsea), Granit Xhaka (Sunderland), Rayan Cherki (Manchester City), Adrien Truffert (Bournemouth), Viktor Gyökeres (Arsenal), Antoine Semenyo (Manchester City), and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Leeds).

Lammens arrived at Old Trafford last summer from Antwerp for a reported €21 million, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in Erik ten Hag’s squad. Since making his first Premier League start in October against Sunderland, he has been an ever-present fixture in the Red Devils’ lineup. His maiden season in England saw him feature in 37 matches, conceding 45 goals while keeping eight clean sheets.

The young goalkeeper’s reliability and composure have made him a cornerstone of Manchester United’s resurgence, with the club finishing third in the Premier League. His contributions have not gone unnoticed by former Red Devils stars, including Rio Ferdinand, who recently hailed Lammens as the future of the club. “He’s been outstanding, and he’s young. While Lammens prepares for his first World Cup experience this summer, his role may initially be secondary to Thibaut Courtois. However, his trajectory suggests a long-term future with the Belgian national team.
