Togolese Leader Engages with Ecobank ETI Chair in Lomé

On Wednesday, June 3, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, President of the Council, met with Papa Madiaw Ndiaye, Chair of the Board at Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, in Lomé. The discussion centered on the outcomes of the shareholders’ general assembly and the panafrican banking group’s strategic outlook.

Financial Highlights and Strategic Vision Presented

The meeting concluded with the Ecobank ETI Chair presenting the 2025 financial performance and future roadmap to the Togolese Head of State. He emphasized the critical role of accountability to Togolese authorities, rooted in the bank’s special status in the country.

« Today, we convened our shareholders’ assembly to share our 2025 financial performance and strategic priorities. Given Togo’s special designation, we remain committed to reporting our progress and deliberations directly to the President of the Council, » he stated.
