The RDPC’s André Luther Meka has expressed strong disapproval of the linguistic proficiency displayed by Mamadou Mota, vice-president of the MRC.

The controversy stems from Mota’s recent appearance on the television show “La Vérité en face,” which aired on Sunday, June 28, 2026. André Luther Meka, a communicator for the Rassemblement Démocratique du Peuple Camerounais (RDPC), was quick to critique the performance.

Reflecting on the interview via his social media platforms, André Luther Meka stated he was deeply offended by the way Mota handled the French language. He specifically criticised the Mouvement pour la Renaissance du Cameroun (MRC) official’s syntax and mastery of terminology, describing the performance as a display of extreme mediocrity that “massacred” the literary heritage of figures like Ronsard and Lamartine.

During the broadcast, Mamadou Mota was focused on supporting Maurice Kamto’s continued leadership of the MRC. This defense comes at a time when the party is navigating internal friction and challenges from other figures within the organisation, including Willy Mengue.
