Chérif Zeyni Abidin Sy, identified as Tandian’s alleged accomplice, was absent during the trial and must now appear before the tribunal before a ruling can be issued.
The defense team seized the opportunity to file a motion for provisional release, arguing that their client’s continued detention was no longer justified.
