The Chad–Central African Republic joint force commander recently paid a visit to soldiers recovering from injuries sustained in combat near Korbol. General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor arrived at Sarh’s Outel Bono Provincial Hospital on May 10, 2026, to assess the condition of two military personnel wounded in an armed attack the previous Thursday.
During the visit, the general examined the soldiers’ wounds and discussed their treatment with medical staff. The injured men include Sergeant Allahguernganye Diro Martial, 36, who suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, and Corporal Djimet Issakah Dane, who sustained a fractured left leg from gunfire. Both soldiers required advanced medical care beyond what the local facility could provide.
After meeting with doctors, General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor requested an immediate medical evacuation to N’Djamena to ensure the soldiers received specialized treatment. Dr. Sayambaye Alladoumdjim, the hospital’s deputy director, praised the swift response of defense and security forces in arranging the urgent transfer.
The two soldiers were airlifted to N’Djamena the same day for further medical attention. Military officials expressed confidence that the prompt evacuation would significantly improve the wounded soldiers’ recovery prospects.
