The long-standing diplomatic ties between Morocco and the Philippines, now celebrating half a century, represent a solid foundation for future collaboration, according to Ambassador Leslie Baja of the Philippines in Rabat. The milestone was acknowledged during last year’s commemorations, underscoring the depth of relations built over five decades.

In his remarks, the ambassador highlighted the robust exchange of high-level visits, the signing of multiple agreements, and the strengthening of people-to-people connections. These elements, he emphasized, are the cornerstone for the next fifty years of partnership between the two nations.

Trade relations have also seen a marked improvement, with bilateral exchanges surging by nearly 50% in recent years. While this growth is encouraging, the ambassador noted that both countries still see significant untapped potential in deepening economic cooperation.
