Niamey, July 27, 2026 – The government aims to make the future science college in Niamey a reference point for training elite scientists in the country. In this context, Education Minister Dr. Elisabeth Shérif visited the construction site on Monday morning to evaluate the progress of work and ensure that the deadline is met.
Concretely, the construction includes several infrastructure destined to accommodate future students of the institution. The classrooms, scientific laboratories, administrative buildings, and other educational equipment are among the installations expected to provide a modern learning environment adapted to the demands of modern scientific education.
During the visit, Dr. Shérif talked with engineers, technicians, and companies responsible for executing the works. On this occasion, she reminded them of the strategic importance of this project for the national educational system, while emphasizing two key requirements: maintaining a high level of quality in the realization and respecting the contractual commitments to avoid any delay in delivering the establishment.
