The PASTEF-Les Patriotes party has successfully concluded an impactful 48-hour political outreach initiative across the Jolof region. Party delegations traversed all 19 communes within the Linguère department—from Dahra to Barkédji, including Sagatta and Yang-Yang—with party leader Ousmane Sonko, Minister of State Habib Sy, and numerous national executives and coalition allies leading the charge on the ground.

This intensive immersion in the heart of Jolof served as a powerful demonstration of the party’s strength and deep local roots. The itinerary featured a series of courtesy visits and meaningful dialogues with local religious and traditional authorities, alongside strategic working sessions conducted with the party’s grassroots structures, encompassing youth, women, and executive members.

Strengthening local presence and opening new departmental headquarters

Following this robust mobilization effort, the local party chapters officially unveiled their strategic roadmap for the upcoming period. A pivotal moment of this journey was the inauguration of PASTEF’s permanent departmental headquarters, signaling the official launch of a campaign to distribute membership cards. The declared objective is to solidify the party’s territorial network through diligent, proximity-based engagement within the department’s villages and neighborhoods.

An appeal for broad unity

In the wake of this internal restructuring, local political leaders extended a solemn invitation for unity. This call for solidarity is directed not only at long-standing militants and sympathizers but also broadly extends to political figures from other affiliations who are keen to align with the party’s vision for territorial development.
