This gathering led to the election of a new board of directors and an executive committee, comprising 27 and 12 members respectively, representing all water-sector stakeholders, both public and private.
At the same time, the extraordinary general assembly focused on presenting and approving the association’s moral and financial reports. Members also passed a resolution to amend AMEPA’s statutes, aiming to align its operations with the evolving water landscape in Morocco and to strengthen its efforts, particularly in the area of industrial sovereignty.

Founded in 1997, AMEPA now brings together more than 95 active members, including public and private operators, regional multiservice companies (SRMs), concessionaires, as well as industrial firms, engineering companies, and contractors specialised in drinking water and sanitation.
With this new governance structure, the association aims to build a more integrated and united ecosystem capable of elevating Moroccan water industry, engineering, and expertise to a level of excellence at the national, continental, and international levels.
