The University of Lomé (UL) is expanding its global footprint by entering into a significant framework agreement with Creighton University. The partnership with the Jesuit institution, based in Omaha, Nebraska, in the United States, was formalized on Friday, June 5, 2026.

The accord was officially signed by Professor Kossivi Hounaké, President of the University of Lomé, and Reverend Father Daniel Hendrickson, President of Creighton University. Through this strategic alliance, both academic institutions aim to strengthen their cooperation in the vital areas of education, scientific research, and the mutual exchange of knowledge.

The agreement outlines several key initiatives, including the development of joint training and research programs. It is also designed to promote mobility, allowing students, faculty, and researchers to move between the two universities. Furthermore, the partnership will facilitate the organization of shared conferences, seminars, and other scholarly activities of common interest.
