The verbal clash between Waly Diouf Bodian and Madiambal Diagne escalates following a controversial post about Ousmane Sonko. Accusing the journalist of chronic fabrication, Bodian vows to escalate the media influence battle unfolding in Senegal.

Media Clash Intensifies Over Controversial Claims
Waly Diouf Bodian, Director General of the Autonomous Port of Dakar, has unleashed a scathing response to a recent publication by journalist Madiambal Diagne regarding Ousmane Sonko. The accusations levelled against Diagne are severe, with Bodian categorizing his reporting as deliberate mythomania and fabrication of false narratives.
Bodian Slams Diagne’s Alleged Fabrications
In a particularly sharp rebuttal, Bodian did not mince his words. He described Madiambal Diagne as an “eminent mythomaniac” whose penchant for inventing stories knows no bounds. Bodian’s remarks were laced with sarcasm, suggesting that Diagne’s creative storytelling would be better suited for scriptwriting than journalism.
“Madiambal, an eminent mythomaniac, has once again spun a tale as only he can,” Bodian declared. “His inspiration is diabolically twisted, spewing nothing but baseless fabrications. He would excel as a screenwriter for fantasy films.”
This latest exchange underscores the deep-seated tensions between influential figures in Senegal’s political and media spheres. Madiambal Diagne, known for his active role in public debates, continues to be a polarizing figure, drawing both support and criticism.
