After a twenty-day journey through the nine provinces of Gabon, Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma, the founding president of the Parti pour les 7 Merveilles du Peuple Gabonais (7MP), has presented the results of a mission that went far beyond basic community outreach. Focused on restructuring local branches, auditing membership rolls, and strengthening the Mouvement Oligui Nguema 100% (MON 100%), this tour signals the 7MP’s ambition to cement its position within the presidential majority under the Fifth Republic.

From June 4 to June 23, 2026, Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma traveled across the national territory to engage with members, supporters, local officials, and the general population. During a press conference held at the 7MP headquarters in Libreville, the party leader explained that this tour is part of a strategy to revitalize the political organization and consolidate its backing for the President of the Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema. Founded in 2010, the 7MP now identifies as a key component of the presidential movement. Meanwhile, the MON 100% movement, which debuted in February 2025, was designed to support the head of state’s reforms and mobilize the public around his initiatives.

Political restructuring through territorial engagement

In addition to meeting with citizens, the primary goal of this mission was to reorganize the party’s infrastructure nationwide. According to 7MP officials, the work involved recounting active members, registering new adherents, identifying fresh local leadership, and reinforcing provincial coordination units. The MON 100% movement also utilized this period to expand its footprint across all nine provinces, aiming to bring more citizens together under the vision set forth by the President of the Republic.

Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma noted that this tour occurred during the critical phase of establishing the institutions of the Fifth Republic. Discussions with party members served to reaffirm the 7MP’s stance as a political force dedicated to the head of state, while also reiterating support for the reforms launched since the transition began. This initiative is part of a broader transformation of the Gabonese political scene, where various parties are working to solidify their local presence following presidential, legislative, and local elections.

Future objectives centered on field action

Following this mission, the 7MP has announced several steps to continue its growth: enhancing provincial coordination, increasing the frequency of citizen meetings, further structuring the MON 100%, and implementing a permanent system for reporting the concerns of the people to the party leadership.

Beyond the organizational achievements, this tour represents a strategic milestone for the 7MP as it seeks to strengthen its roots within the presidential majority. By boosting its presence in every corner of the country, the party aims to effectively support the political trajectory of the Fifth Republic while remaining closely connected to the daily realities of the population.
