In anticipation of the second annual Kumasi Patriotic Days, scheduled for November 28-29, 2025, in Ghana’s Ashanti Region, the People’s Contribution for Education and Health (CPES) association has launched a groundbreaking international caravan. This significant event, running from November 27 to December 1, 2025, marks the first time such a caravan extends its reach beyond national borders, arriving in Kumasi to strengthen regional ties.

Dubbed the National Patriotic Engagement Caravan (CNEP), this initiative builds on previous domestic stages like Ouaga-Pô and Ouaga-Bobo-Dioulasso. Its core mission is to strengthen the historical, cultural, and social bonds between Burkina Faso and Ghana. The caravan commenced its journey from Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, on November 27, 2025, successfully reaching Kumasi by November 28, 2025.

Kamanga Mathias Zida, Coordinator of the CPES association, highlighted the primary goals of this Ouagadougou-Tamale-Kumasi route. He emphasized the caravan’s role in fostering patriotic engagement and encouraging the Burkinabè diaspora’s vital contributions to the success of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP).

Oumarou Kologo, the Consul General of Burkina Faso in Kumasi, along with his dedicated team, extended a heartfelt welcome to the delegation from Ouagadougou. They hosted a cordial exchange at the Burkina Faso House in Kumasi, emphasizing the significance of this cross-border visit.

During the reception, the Consul General delivered an inspiring address, stating, « Diplomats for a day, diplomats forever. You are diplomats today because you have journeyed from Faso to uphold our national colors; to bear witness that Burkina Faso endures, that Burkina Faso stands strong. »

Consul General Kologo also conveyed the consulate’s profound joy at hosting their Burkinabè compatriots on Ghanaian soil. He added, « We are extremely delighted to welcome you. We are truly pleased that Kumasi was selected for this journey. Your visit deeply honors us. »

Echoing the Consul General’s sentiments, Adama Blaise Kiendrébéogo, the Delegate of Burkinabè from the Ashanti Region to the High Council of Burkinabè Abroad, warmly greeted the delegation, hailing them as « revolutionaries » for their impactful mission.

Beyond the core activities of the Kumasi Patriotic Days, the caravan participants have planned a series of outreach initiatives. These include distributing stickers, t-shirts, and banners featuring images of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of Faso, and his Ghanaian counterpart, John Dramani Mahama.

Furthermore, the caravanners intend to donate notebooks, also adorned with the images of both presidents, to schools in Kumasi and Tamale. A significant fundraising effort is also slated to benefit the Patriotic Fund in Burkina Faso, reinforcing their commitment to national development.
