Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno touched down in N’Djamena late this evening, wrapping up an official visit to the United Arab Emirates that included multiple engagements with the Emirati leadership.

The President’s itinerary featured two significant meetings with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The initial discussion took place at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, while a second, more private meeting was hosted at the Chadian Head of State’s official residence.

Upon his return, President Déby was greeted at N’Djamena International Airport by a high-ranking delegation. The welcoming committee included Prime Minister Amb. Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, several government ministers, the State Minister and Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Office, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Private Secretary, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.
