Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, exclusively focused on investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
« This marks another pivotal step in our consultative process, dedicated to unlocking private investment, fostering enterprise growth, and driving value creation,» the Prime Minister emphasized. « I’m pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined us for this crucial dialogue.»
The event brought together top executives, private sector leaders, and international investors who traveled to Abidjan to engage in high-level discussions. In his address, the Head of Government highlighted the importance of this platform as both a dialogue forum and a catalyst for aligning shared development goals.
« Your presence here today is a testament to the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic trajectory,» he told the audience. « You are essential partners in turning our vision into reality—a vision of a more competitive economy, one that generates sustainable jobs and inclusive growth.»
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s proven resilience—marked by an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—solidifies its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies, even amid global economic shifts.
« This is a market brimming with opportunity,» he stated. « The discussions and initiatives today will fast-track investments in the PND’s priority sectors: industrialization, local raw material processing to boost value addition, infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, and strategic investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that will propel a more productive and inclusive economy.»
He also recalled that the first day of the Consultative Group, which focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including local stakeholders.
In a show of strong support, leaders from key business networks took the floor to affirm their backing for the government’s vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of France’s MEDEF, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), each pledged substantial financial commitments to help execute the PND 2026-2030.
