Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, focused on investors, was inaugurated today at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire. The session was led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, who emphasized the pivotal role of private investment in driving Côte d’Ivoire’s economic ambitions.

« This marks another milestone in our consultative framework centered on investment, enterprise, and value creation, » declared Robert Beugré Mambé. « Our goal is to mobilize the private sector’s resources to turn our development vision into reality. I am pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined this vital dialogue. »

The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the gathering, attended by business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan to engage in constructive discussions. « Your commitment reflects the trust placed in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory, » he noted. « As key partners, you will play a decisive role in building a more competitive economy that generates sustainable employment. The success of this ambition depends on your willingness to invest boldly. »

« The government has made a strategic decision: the private sector will be the engine of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation, » he affirmed. He underscored the nation’s proven resilience, citing an average annual growth rate of 6.5% over recent years despite global economic challenges. « Côte d’Ivoire stands among Africa’s most dynamic economies, and today’s market offers vast opportunities for investors. »

The Prime Minister outlined key sectors poised for investment under the PND 2026-2030, including:

  • Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition;
  • Strategic infrastructure development, particularly in transportation, digital technology, and logistics;
  • Human capital investment, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy.

He also revealed that the first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.

In a show of solidarity, leaders of the private sector echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the Confédération Générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), along with representatives from Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF) and Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM), as well as Mohamed Gouled of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s leadership. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030, signaling a united front in driving the nation’s economic future.
