In a decisive regulatory move, the Banking Commission of Central Africa (COBAC) has revoked the operating license of Financial Development Tchad (FINADEV Tchad S.A.), a second-tier microfinance institution headquartered in N’Djamena. The decision, issued on February 5, 2026, was enforced immediately upon notification.

As a result, FINADEV Tchad S.A. has been officially placed into liquidation, marking the end of its operations in the country’s microfinance sector. The liquidation process is expected to last up to one year, with a possible extension if circumstances require.
