The Ivorian head of state, Alassane Ouattara, is set to implement significant restructuring within his party, the Rassemblement des Houphouëtistes pour la Démocratie et la Paix (RHDP).
According to insider reports, the President shared details of these reforms with senior party members during a high-level meeting held in Abidjan on May 7. The overhaul includes the creation of key governance bodies designed to reinforce internal discipline and cohesion. Among the new structures are a disciplinary council, a general inspection unit, and additional specialized committees.
These changes reflect Ouattara’s commitment to consolidating party unity and ensuring adherence to established rules. The reforms aim to address internal challenges and enhance the RHDP’s operational efficiency ahead of upcoming political engagements.
