The leading investment group Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS has finalized its acquisition of SICTA (Société Ivoirienne de Contrôle Technique Automobile), the long-standing automotive technical inspection leader in Côte d’Ivoire.

During a press conference held in Abidjan, David Fofana, CEO of Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS, outlined the strategic implications of this integration and highlighted the progress achieved one year after SICTA officially became part of the group.

By acquiring SICTA, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS inherits five decades of industry expertise while infusing fresh innovation into the company’s operations. One of the group’s top priorities is enhancing customer experience, a goal already validated by its track record in streamlining service delivery.

Mayelia’s launch of Mayelia Automotive demonstrated its commitment to excellence by cutting wait times to just 30 minutes, setting a new benchmark for service standards in the region. This efficiency-driven approach is now being applied to SICTA’s operations to ensure faster, more reliable vehicle inspections across Côte d’Ivoire.

The group is also aligning its operations with the national Zero Tolerance road safety policy, positioning itself as a key partner for the Ivorian government in reducing traffic fatalities and improving road safety compliance.

Beyond automotive technical inspections, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS has evolved into a dynamic pan-African conglomerate with a diversified portfolio. Currently operating in two countries, the group manages six subsidiaries across critical sectors, including mobility (Mayelia Mobilité), technology (CIEIRIA), and professional training (Mayelia Academy). Its automotive division now spans multiple markets with Mayelia Automotive Côte d’Ivoire, Mayelia Automotive Guinée, and SICTA, reinforcing its position as a major player in West African mobility and infrastructure.
