Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, exclusively focused on investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of this gathering, stating, “This marks a pivotal moment in our consultative process, focusing on investment, enterprise, and value creation. Our goal is to secure the private sector investments essential for turning our development vision into reality.” He proudly noted that over 700 investors from allied nations have already joined the discussions.
The event brought together business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan to engage in strategic dialogue. The Prime Minister emphasized that this forum serves as a vital platform for aligning public and private sector goals to foster shared economic growth.
Addressing the assembly, Robert Beugré Mambé remarked, “Your commitment alongside us reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory. As key partners, your investments will be instrumental in realizing our ambition to build a more competitive and job-creating economy.”
He underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. The Prime Minister reassured investors that the nation’s economy, which has demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability, continues to stand out in Africa with an average annual growth rate of 6.5% over recent years.
“Today, you are presented with a rapidly expanding market filled with opportunities,” he stated. “This session will catalyze investments in critical sectors outlined in the NDP 2026-2030, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition, infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, and logistics to bolster competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to drive a more productive and inclusive economy.”
Robert Beugré Mambé also pointed out that the first day of the consultative group, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including the host nation.
Representing the investor community, Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the implementation of the NDP 2026-2030.
