Chad and Libya move closer to direct air service between N'Djamena and Benghazi

A high-level meeting held in Benghazi last month brought together Libya’s top diplomat, Dr. Abdelhadi Al-Houij, with Chad’s Consul General, Mr. Hassan Ahmat Daissire, and consular attaché Mr. Aboubakar Sidick Mahamat Abagana. The talks centered on expanding ties in consular services, trade, transportation, and communications. A proposed direct air route between N’Djamena and Benghazi topped the agenda, aimed at easing travel and boosting cross-border business. Voluntary repatriation programs for Chadian nationals were also reviewed in coordination with relevant authorities and international partners. Both sides underscored their determination to deepen the long-standing, friendly relations that bind Chad and Libya.
