On Sunday, July 26, 2026, Senate President Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, serving as the moral authority of the political alliance « Agissons et Bâtissons » (AB), hosted a high-level meeting at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Bandal. The gathering brought together members of the Presidium, national deputies, senators, party secretaries-general, and executive secretaries from the alliance.
The event, eagerly anticipated by all participants, took place as Parliament concluded its extraordinary session and entered its recess. The discussions centered on two critical issues: an assessment of the alliance’s progress and an analysis of current matters, particularly the upcoming referendum law and ongoing national dialogue.
Following extensive deliberations, the AB coalition confirmed its full support for President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi in his efforts to advance both the referendum legislation and the dialogue process. A shared commitment to cohesion emerged among the alliance’s elected officials, the Presidium, and government representatives.
The alliance’s decision underscores a unified stance at a pivotal moment for the country’s political trajectory.
