Top-level security collaboration ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup
The Deputy Director of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Christopher Raia, made an official visit this week to the International Police Cooperation Center (IPCC). This key hub brings together law enforcement and security officials from all countries participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
During his stay in Morocco, Raia emphasized the importance of robust security measures for the upcoming tournament. His agenda included a dedicated meeting with representatives from Morocco’s National Security Directorate and the Territorial Surveillance General Directorate (DGSN-DGST), two agencies playing a crucial role in the country’s safety framework.
The FBI’s engagement reflects growing international confidence in Morocco as a reliable partner for major global sporting events. With preparations underway for the 2026 World Cup, the North African nation is positioning itself as a key player in ensuring a secure and successful tournament.
