The Royal Armed Forces of Morocco have significantly bolstered their military capabilities with the integration of the Bayraktar Akıncı, a high-performance drone manufactured by the Turkish company Baykar. This strategic addition to the national arsenal was confirmed through detailed satellite imagery of the Ben Guerir 6th Air Base.

Observations indicate that these advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were delivered to the kingdom during the early months of last year. Since their arrival, they have been fully incorporated into the operational framework of the base, marking a significant step in the modernization of the country’s defense infrastructure.

The Akıncı drones are now deployed alongside the Bayraktar TB2 fleet, which is already in service. This combined presence at the Ben Guerir facility enhances the Royal Armed Forces‘ ability to conduct sophisticated surveillance and precision operations across the region.
