President Paul Biya has signed a decree appointing new members to the Superior Council of the Judiciary.

Ten of the fourteen members had their mandates renewed for another five years after their terms expired a year ago. Only one change occurred among the permanent members: Ali Mamouda is stepping down to make way for Goni Mariam, a former alternate member.

The former Minister of Public Service, Sali Dahirou, and the Members of Parliament Soppo Toute Marlyse from Wouri (RDPC) and Rolande Ngo Issi from Nyong and Kellé (Pcrn) have also been appointed.

Notably included are former Vice-President of the Special Criminal Court (TCS) Claude Francis Moukouri and Albert Ekono Nna, Engelbert Bengono, Mekoulou, among others.
