Mankono recently hosted a significant political re-entry for the Rassemblement des Houphouëtistes pour la démocratie et la paix (RHDP) departmental secretariat, covering both the Mankono commune and sub-prefecture. Held on July 17 and 18, 2026, the event centered on evaluating the 2025 elections, providing training for party activists, and invigorating the foundational structures of the party.
Cissé Namory, the RHDP departmental secretary for the Mankono commune and sub-prefecture, reiterated the unwavering commitment of militants across the Béré region. Their collective effort, he emphasized, is crucial for fortifying the presidential party’s influence and presence.
While celebrating the RHDP’s decisive victory in the recent legislative elections within his political department, secured by Deputy Salimata Fofana épouse Méité, Cissé Namory also expressed concern. He noted instances of indiscipline among certain party members, suggesting that these behaviors had, at times, received backing from some party executives.
“We bear a responsibility to be truthful with our militants to maintain both the unity and effectiveness of our political endeavors,” he declared, urging for enhanced discipline and solidarity within the RHDP ranks.
The political re-entry unfolded with two primary focuses. The initial day featured a reflective seminar under the theme: “Drawing insights from the previous ballot and charting the course for the upcoming militant cycle.”
During this session, Professor Soro David, the Deputy National Secretary responsible for the RHDP’s political structures, led a conference. His presentation focused on “The contribution of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 to the advancement of the Béré region.”
Professor Soro highlighted the tangible achievements realized in Béré through the PND 2021-2025, subsequently outlining the promising opportunities presented by the new PND 2026-2030. “The Béré region saw substantial benefits from the PND 2021-2025 and stands to gain even more with the PND 2026-2030,” he affirmed, detailing various planned initiatives across crucial sectors such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
Furthermore, Professor Soro commended the dedication of regional leaders and citizens who stand alongside President Alassane Ouattara. He stressed that their active participation serves as a vital catalyst for Béré’s development and strengthens governmental actions throughout this part of the nation.
