Francisca Tatchouop Belobe, the African Union (AU) Commissioner overseeing economic development, tourism, trade, industry, and mining, spoke in Rabat this Monday to commend the significant progress achieved by Morocco. She attributed these advancements to the strategic leadership provided by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

In a press briefing following discussions with Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, the AU official emphasized the kingdom’s substantial industrial transformation. She noted that Morocco has secured a leading position within the continent, particularly in the automotive and aeronautical industries.

The Commissioner also highlighted Morocco’s proactive role in sharing its developmental experience with other African states. She specifically mentioned the establishment of a comprehensive value chain dedicated to critical minerals as a key achievement.

During her visit, Belobe expressed her sincere appreciation to King Mohammed VI for his unwavering commitment and support toward the African Union Commission.
