The Algerian Prime Minister, Sifi Ghrieb, landed in Niamey on Wednesday for an official visit centered on deepening cooperation between Algeria and Niger. Ordered by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the trip underscores the two nations’ commitment to strengthening ties across key sectors.
Accompanying Ghrieb were Algeria’s Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, along with the Director-General of the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation and Development. The delegation’s arrival signals a new chapter in bilateral relations, with both sides aiming to expand collaboration in mutually beneficial areas.
During initial discussions, the Prime Ministers reviewed the current state of Algeria-Niger relations and explored ways to enhance cooperation. The highlight of the visit was the inauguration of a 40-megawatt power plant in Niamey’s Gorou Banda district.
