Me Félicité Zeifman’s fiery remarks came in response to harsh public criticism from philosopher and Cameroonian commentator Fridolin Nke.

The outburst is part of the intense debate surrounding the trial of journalist Martinez Zogo’s assassination. Me Zeifman, a Paris-based attorney, has faced relentless smear campaigns and media destabilization efforts orchestrated by outlets and influencers aligned with the defendants, particularly Vision 4.

Dismissing Fridolin Nke as the “Spittoon Philosopher” or “Discernment Expert,” the lawyer condemns his public statements and media appearances as grotesque and unworthy of an intellectual. In her view, his conduct epitomizes the theatricality plaguing Cameroon’s public discourse—a trend of turning grave judicial matters into entertainment spectacles and intellectual degradation, where university-educated figures resort to insults rather than pursuing truth.

The “clown coronation,” as she describes it, reflects a broader critique of Cameroon’s media landscape, where empty posturing, sterile agitation, and personal attacks now overshadow moral rigor and justice.

Oh Fridolin! You, Descartes of Cameroon, the Kant of the slums, the Socrates who swapped hemlock for spittle! Who dares attack virtue… only to end up resembling a rabid dog barking at its own reflection in a puddle of urine?

At first, I thought some obscure scribe, consumed by the syphilis of bitterness, was launching a smear campaign against a lawyer merely doing her job.

Then I saw the signature: Fridolin NKE. And suddenly, everything clicked. This name! When did African thinkers become so… thin-skulled? Have all the great minds, those paragons of ethics, descended into villainy, excess, and the pathological vice of ‘I’ll drag everything back to pussy’?

But I was reminded of a familiar style of depravity and insolence: that mix of tavern grandiosity and drunken uncle misogyny.
