The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in France has lodged a formal complaint with French authorities following incidents of flag desecration and verbal attacks against Moroccan supporters in Aubervilliers, immediately after the Morocco-Canada 2026 World Cup match.

In an official statement released on July 6, the Embassy condemned these acts with « the utmost severity, » describing them as « serious and reprehensible. »

The statement highlights several « verified and documented » incidents in which the Moroccan flag was publicly torn, burned, and destroyed by individuals shouting slogans linked to Algerian origins.
